If you want to invite more wealth and good fortune into your life, making your own Money & Abundance Oil is a simple and meaningful way to do it. This personalized oil combines herbs, spices, and intention to help you focus your energy on attracting financial stability and happiness. Plus, it’s fun to create and customize with your own special touch. Here’s how to make your own oil at home with easy steps and ingredients you can find in most kitchens or herbal shops.

Ingredients You’ll Need
4 fl oz olive oil (base for the oil)
Salt (for grounding)
Mint (luck)
Basil (wealth)
8 cloves (financial stability)
Orange extract or dried orange peel (health and happiness)
Ginger (speeds up action)
Nutmeg (financial gain and prosperity)
Parsley (attracts abundance)
Powdered rice (attracts wealth)
Optional crystal chips to boost your oil’s energy:
Green aventurine
Citrine
Clear quartz
Hematite
Tools to Gather
2 oz dropper bottle (for storing your oil)
Small saucepan
Heat source (stove or hot plate)
Spoon (for stirring)
Coffee filter or tea strainer (for straining)
Funnel (to pour oil into bottle)
Measuring cup
How to Make Your Money & Abundance Oil
Combine olive oil and salt in your small saucepan over low heat. The salt helps ground the energy of your oil.
Add each herb one by one. As you add each, say its name out loud and state its purpose. For example, “Mint for luck,” “Basil for wealth,” and so on. This helps you focus your intention as you work.
Stir the mixture clockwise three times with your spoon to bring energy in. While stirring, chant your personal incantation three times. If you don’t have one, try searching “Money Tree Chant” online for inspiration. Making your own chant makes the spell more personal and powerful.
Let the oil brew for 10 minutes on low heat. Keep the temperature gentle so it doesn’t simmer or boil.
Allow the oil to cool completely before straining. Use a coffee filter or tea strainer to pour the oil from the saucepan into your measuring cup. This keeps your hands safe from burns.
If you’re using crystal chips, gently place them into your 2 oz dropper bottle first.
Use a funnel to pour the cooled oil into the dropper bottle.
Depending on location and storage, your oil should have a shelf life of 6 months to 1 year. Factors that can effect the shelf life of your potion are:
sunlight exposure
humidity
heat exposure
altitude
I suggest wrapping your bottle in some kind of label, both so you know what you're looking at, and also to protect the contents of the bottle from light exposure, which can cause your potion to go rancid. Another useful tip is to date your potion. As you can see, my oil should have expired over a year ago, but I have kept it refrigerated and it has not gone rancid! It smells as lovely as it did the day I bottled it.
That being said, if you suspect your potion has rancidified or you see mold growing, please throw it out and start fresh. I wouldn't want you anointing yourself with mold.

Optional Step to Supercharge Your Oil
Place your bottle on top of a Tarot card and leave it in the sun to charge. For example, placing it on the 10 of Pentacles can help manifest long-term financial security. If you have a Tarot deck, pick a card that feels right for your intention. This adds another layer of focus and energy to your oil.
The sun holds masculine, go-get-it energy, and is very beneficial for abundance spells. If you opted to use crystals, they are now charged as well and will continue to superpower your potion. bGive the bottle a little shake before use to wake the magic back up.
Making your own Money & Abundance Oil is a creative way to bring your goals into focus. By combining herbs with intention and a little ritual, you create a tool that supports your financial and personal growth. Try using your oil by anointing your wallet, money jar, or even yourself before important money-related activities. I like to drop some onto my shoes in the morning to ensure the path I walk is a prosperous one. Remember, the power comes from your intention and belief as much as the ingredients. You hold so much power in your energy, now use it!
